Part 2 begins after Fort Besselat, you go to Sal Ghidos and buy a flower from Aerith, and after that go back to Goug and see the orrery. Return to Goug, and then Construct 8 activates and you recruit him. Take Beowulf back to Gollund and recruit Dragon Reis at the end. Then you head to Gollund, read the rumor about the Coal Mines, go to Lesalia, and recruit Beowulf. You go to Goug at the start of Chapter 4, with Mustadio in the party, and you'll see Construct 8 (ball form).
